Story:
BoA graces the DVD format once again, and this time,
we are given a couple of her best music videos to satiate
our appetite for the pop idol.
Review:
This DVD is basically just a small collection of BoA’s
most popular songs and music videos of those songs.
Much like any other music video DVD from any artist
out there, BoA: 8 Films & More is only recommended
to those who adore her and her music and simply must
own everything that is BoA. So naturally, being a
hardcore BoA fan like myself, I snatched this one
up as soon as I found out about it.
Though this presentation is a mere 48 minutes, it’s
a fantastic period of time spending immersing yourself
in the majesty of BoA’s dream-world of music
and rhythm. Sadly this DVD offers no behind the scenes
featurettes of any sort into the making of any of
the music videos themselves. That would’ve been
a fantastic addition to this DVD, as I was pretty
interested in the production and execution of certain
music videos. Unfortunately, Avex Trax opted to leave
this feature out for some reason or another.
Bottom line, if you’re a BoA fan, and must have
her music videos in the best quality, it’s obvious
that this particular DVD is a must-own. For others,
I’d try borrowing it from a friend or video
store that carries it. Either way, it’s a good
time regardless of your preference and you owe it
to yourselves to check out BoA!

[ NTSC, Region 3
] :
Avex Trax’s DVD presentation of BoA: 8 Films
& More is an excellent one quality-wise. Video
is a crisp and clear. The music videos are a mix of
letterbox widescreen and full screen aspect ratios
depending on which one is being shown. The newer ones
are typically given the widescreen treatment. Audio
provided is a mere Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo mix, but
it does the job right and sounds pretty good regardless.
On the downside, there are no subtitles on this DVD.
Extras on this DVD include short commercials for each
song, a music video for “Amazing Kiss”
with a English language track, and a clip of one of
her live performing her song “No. 1.”
